Today is shaping up to be an odd day. I had two bits of news today, one I may tell you about later on but the other I wanted to share now.
Earlier today I heard that Kevin Lynes, one of Kent's most senior politicians had died of a heart attack last week, now, I didn't know Kevin very well at all but I'd spoken alongside him a couple of times and I have to say he struck me as a very likable and open chap who was genuinely trying to make a difference.
Needless to say this is very sad and my thoughts go out to his family and friends but also, I wanted to say thanks - belatedly - to Kevin for taking the time to listen to my thoughts and (in conjunction with Locate in Kent) for giving me the opportunity to wax lyrical about the very bright future I see for Kent, I do hope that someone will be able to pick up his hard work where he left off.
